| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 2. The linkage of syfp with Tw was reported in MNL 55:17. Additional BC data shows 93/343 = 27.11 +/- 2.40%. As expected syfp also shows linkage with ataxia-J. The repulsion IC (207 + +, 88 axJ +, 68 + syfp, 4 axJsyfp) gives a recombination estimate of 23.85 +/- 5.00%. The coupling IC (136 + +, 15 axJ +, 14 + syfp, 23 axJsyfp) gives an estimate of 18.78 +/- 3.33%. The combined estimate is 20.35 +/- 2.78%. In a repulsion 1C of syfp and bc no double recessives have occurred now among 742 offspring. However, tests of F2 syfp/syfp females have given 3 crossovers in 42 chromosomes tested for an estimate of 7.69%. To date coupling IC data gives 106 + +, 5 bc +, 8 + syfp, 8 bc syfp for a recombination estimate of 13.01 +/- 2.83%. (Lane) |
