| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: H.G. Wolfe. Research notes: Recombination in single backcrosses (both coupling and repulsion) between dystrophia muscularis (dy) and Steel (Sl) is 32.6 +/- 2.4% whereas that between dy and Steel-Dickie (Sld) is 28.9 +/- 5.1%. The data strongly support the concept that Sl and Sld are alleles. (Direct genetic proof through breeding tests is not possible due to sterility of the Sl/Sld compound.) Pooled recombination is 31.9 +/- 2.2%. |
