| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Linkage Data: 1. In the backcross T163H + +/+ Dc ru x +++ ru/++ ru no crossovers between T163H (a Robertsonian translocation) and Dc were found in a total of 113 offspring indicating that Dc is very close to the centromere. Forty-one offspring were crossovers between ru and both T163H and Dc. Thus, in the presence of TI 63H, Dc is 36 cM from ru. Lane (MNL 49:33) reported a Dc to ru distance of 29 cM. The Tl63H metacentric does not appear to cause crossover suppression in this region of Chr 19. (Eicher and Southard). |
