| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: A recurrent mutation at the Tabby locus? An allele of Tabby arose in a line selected for body weight. It appeared to resemble Taj (MNL 29:40) in every respect other than that the hairs on the tail were not curved. However, when a sample of Taj were obtained from the Jackson Laboratory for comparison, none of the possible differences between the two were deemed to be diagnostically reliable. Though further tests are in progress, the most probably hypothesis is a recurrence of the same mutation. (R.C. Roberts) |
