description | Transcriptional profiling of E5.5 and E6.5 wild type and Blimp1 mutant decidua was performed using RNA-seq to identify maternal Blimp1 functions during pregnancy . To induce Prdm1 gene deletion in the uterus, Prdm1 BEH/+;PRCre/+ studs (Vincent et al., 2005, Soyal et al., 2005) were crossed with female Prdm1CA/CA mice (Shapiro-Shelef et al., 2003) to generate Prdm1 BEH/CA ;PRCre females, hereinafter referred to as Blimp1 mutant. Female littermates (6-10 weeks of age) were used as the wild type. Whole decidua from E5.5 and E6.5 Blimp1 mutant and wild type mice were analysed by RNA-Seq. |
