| description | Purpose: To investigate the effect that selective breeding for high and low OFA has on gene expression Methods: Male and female High and Low Activity mice (n=4 per strain/sex) were euthanized at postnatal day 70 and hippocampi were immediately collected. Paired-end RNA-seq methods were employed to assess hippocampal mRNA expression. Results: The expression of thousands of transcripts were altered by selective breeding for high and low OFA. Poly-A RNA from the hippocampi was profiled using Illumina NovaSEQ 6000 (2x150). Tissue was generated from 16 High and Low Activity mouse strains (n=4 per strain/sex). Mice were euthanized at postnatal day 70 for immediate hippocampi collection. |
