description | Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a complex disease, the early alterations of which remains to be investigated. We isolated retinas from the control and type 2 diabetes (T2D) mice and conducted scRNA-seq analysis using the 10x Genomics platform. We delineated the complete cellular landscape of retina and explored the early alterations of different cell subpopulations of them in T2D. The Lepr knockout mouse model was used. The retinas were isolated from two control (BKS_WT; m/m) and two type 2 diabetes (BKS_DB; db/db) mice at ages of 13 weeks. The isolated retinas were enzymatically digested to generate single-cell suspensions for scRNA-seq. |
