HT Experiment :

Experiment Id  GSE71268 Name  Transcriptome sequencing of Wild-type and psmb11-/- thymic epithelial cells
Experiment Type  RNA-Seq Study Type  WT vs. Mutant
Source  GEO Curation Date  2024-07-11
description  Purpose: as regulator of protein degradation, proteasomes regulate practically all cellular functions. We assume that psmb11 specific expression by cortical thymic epithelial cells (cTECs) could have far reaching effect on cTECs biology and their involvment in thymocytes' education. Method: We analyzed the poly(A)+ transcriptome of TEC populations by RNA-sequencing (RNA-Seq) in order to gain novel insights into psbm11 functions Results: We demonstrate here that psmb11-deficiency affects the transcription of 450 genes in cortical thymic epithelial cells. Conclusion: Our study reveals that one of psmb11 cellular roles could rely on transcriptional regulation and more important, inhibition of mTEC-lineage engagement in cTEC differenciation. The mRNA profiles of cTEC, mTEClo and mTEChi from 11 thymi of 6-8 weeks-old wild type (WT) and psmb11-/- mice were generated by RNA-sequencing using Illumina HiSeq2000
