| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: New Robertsonian translocations: a new population of M. m. domesticus showing Robertsonian translocations (2N = 22) has been found in Tunisia. The nine pairs of Rb translocations were identified as follows: Rb (1.11)2 Mpl, Rb(2.16)3 Mpl, Rb(3.12)4 Mpl, Rb(4.6)5 Mpl, Rb(5.14)6 Mpl, Rb(7.18)7 Mpl, Rb(8.9)8 Mpl, Rb(10.17)9 Mpl and Rb(13.15)10 Mpl. All but four (4.6, 5.14, 7.18 and 1.11) are not known to occur elsewhere. This karyotype has been designated Monastir and a homozygous 2N = 22 chromosome strain (22MO) is currently being established in our laboratory. |
