| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: (c) Israeli. These mice are strictly only semi-wild. Three specimens of the subspecies M m praetextus, trapped in an Israeli port, were sent here by Dr. Donald Michie in 1961. Since they did not breed together, they were crossed to a laboratory stock M m domesticus containing m and b; from this hybrid stock, the present colony of "Israelis" has been set up and is now 22 generations sibmated.
