| abstractText | We represent genes in MGI as sequence objects that contain the genomic sequence between the start and end coordinate (without intron/exon boundaries). Annotated features from NCBI are associated to existing MGI markers based on shared Locus Link ids, chromosome assignments from both NCBI and MGI are then compared to identify inconsistencies for manual evaluation. Sequence records defined by the assembly coordinates are created in MGI that represent the genomic sequences for MGI markers, Locus Link ids are used as genomic sequence ids. |
