PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit an enlarged heart left atrium along with delayed calcium reuptake and decreased relaxation rates by cardiomyocytes, and develop abdominal aortic aneurysms with spontaneous rupture following angiotensin II treatment.
