Primary Identifier | MGI:1927155 | Organism | mouse, laboratory |
Chromosome | 7 | NCBI Gene Number | 56457 |
Mgi Type | protein coding gene |
description | FUNCTION: Automated description from the Alliance of Genome Resources (Release 8.0.0) Enables GABA receptor binding activity. Involved in regulation of T cell differentiation in thymus. Located in external side of plasma membrane. Is expressed in brain and hemolymphoid system. Orthologous to human CLPTM1 (CLPTM1 regulator of GABA type A receptor forward trafficking). PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele show abnormal morula morphology and complete embryonic lethality before implantation. In vitro, embryos fail to hatch from the zona pellucida and die after 3 days in culture, never forming outgrowths. [provided by MGI curators] |
