Primary Identifier | MGI:109531 | Organism | mouse, laboratory |
Chromosome | 9 | NCBI Gene Number | 12539 |
Mgi Type | protein coding gene |
description | FUNCTION: Automated description from the Alliance of Genome Resources (Release 8.0.0) Enables Hsp90 protein binding activity and kinase binding activity. Contributes to protein kinase regulator activity. Involved in positive regulation of type 2 mitophagy; post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression; and regulation of protein kinase activity. Located in cytosol. Part of HSP90-CDC37 chaperone complex. Is expressed in 2-cell stage embryo and 4-cell stage embryo. Orthologous to human CDC37 (cell division cycle 37, HSP90 cochaperone). PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele show complete embryonic lethality prior to organogenesis. In vitro, blastocysts fail to hatch from the zona pellucida and die after 3 days in culture. [provided by MGI curators] |
