PHENOTYPE: Female mice homozygous for a null mutation display reduced susceptibility to induced colitis, enhanced intestinal barrier integrity, increased intestinal stem cell proliferation and goblet cell numbers, and reduced macrophage cytokine production. [provided by MGI curators]
