| abstractText | We have identified a novel human gene, UBXD1, on chromosome 19p13, which encodes a putative protein containing a UBX domain. Expression analysis showed an enhanced presence in testis. We identified the corresponding orthologous genes in mouse and rat. The characterization of UBXD1 has allowed us to define a new class of UBX domain-containing proteins conserved during evolution. |
