| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Crm at distal end of X. Linkage tests with Crm (MNL 57:18) are complicated by the fact that it can only be scored on an otherwise unpigmented background. Ta + Crm/+ Gy + females heterozygous for albinism were crossed to cc males and albino sons were classified for the three sex-linked genes. Phenotypes were:- 15 Ta Crm, 16 Gy, 9 Crm, 2 Ta Gy, 2 Ta, 1 Gy Crm, total 45. Thus the order of loci seems to be as above, with an RF of 6.7 + 3.7% between Gy and Crm. Tabby Gyro males probably have an increased chance of death before they can be classified. (Beechey and Searle) |
