abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Research news: A new mutant, dappled, Dp, appeared in an F1 animal of a gamma irradiation experiment. Phenotypically dappled closely resembles brindled, Br, mottled, Mo, and tortoiseshell, To, and is a completely sex-linked dominant, lethal in the male. The original mutant animal was a male who produced 10 dappled females, 91 normal females, no dappled males and 106 normal males, and hence evidently carried a sectorial mutation. His dappled daughters crossed to normal males produced 14 dappled females, 16 normal females and 16 normal males. (R.J.S. Phillips) |
