abstractText | 3. Remutation à Ca12J Full text of Mouse Genome contribution: Research News: 3. Remutation - Ca12J. Ca12J - A remutation to caracul arose in Dr. Benjamin Taylor's colony at F20 in an MEV subline (MEV3B4) that carried three novel proviral insertions. The Ca remutation occurred after the proviral insertions so is unrelated to them. Ca12J was bred and tested for homozygosity before mating to a homozygous Ca9J/Ca9J for allelism testing. Ten females from this cross were outcrossed to an unrelated normal haired (+/+) male. No +/+ (normal haired) progeny were recovered. Each female produced from 16-22 progeny. DNA is preserved. (H.O.
