| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 6. A large deletion at the Sl locus. As reported by Cattanach et al. (MNL 80, 156-157, 1988) heterozygotes for the new steel mutation, Sl12H , are smaller and less viable than their + sibs and the S l12H homozygote is a preimplantation lethal. Giemsa banding has now shown that the mutation involves a large deletion of chromosome 10. Most or all of band 10D1 is missing so that bands C2 and D3 almost touch.
