| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 3. Irregular teeth, It. Sex-linked, male lethal. Although the mutation arose in a radiation experiment, it must be spontaneous, since it was the original mutant's paternal grandfather who was irradiated. In affected females, one or both lower incisors are markedly reduced and sometimes completely absent. In extreme cases, upper incisors are absent also. Expression is variable and normal overlaps occur. Heterozygous females are relatively inviable (even though kept on powdered food) and are poor producers (average litter size = 3.2). To date they have yielded 147 normal males, 197 normal females (including probably a few normal overlaps), and 94 affected females. Recombination tests with other sex-linked markers are in progress.
