| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 3. Gray tremor (gt). An Autosomal recessive mutation affecting both coat color and the central nervous system arose in strain HyIII/Le in 1977. Yellow pigment of gt/gt is reduced. Eye color is not affected. In addition to a large white blaze on the head, white feet, tail and belly, the homozygote at 8 days of age displays a marked tremor similar to myelin deficient mutants jimpy and quaking. All homozygotes are subject to convulsions but on a heterogeneous background many survive to reproduce. Allele tests with cri, jp, qk, vb, wl, cch, ep, gl, gr, Miwh, mu, p, pe, rs, ru, s, and VaJ were negative. Linkage tests with Lp, a, Sd, ma, b, je, Wv, Hm, Miwh, p, Eso, hy-3, d, fd, Sl, wa-2, Re, mu, hr, slt, T, syfp, and bm were negative. Further tests are in progress. Collaborative studies with Dr. J.
