| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Research News: The precise timing of hormone inducibility of liver specific structural genes regulated by the DNA sequences deleted in chromosome 7 is being studied in continuing experiments. The identification of the possible gene product of the deleted gene(s) is being pursued by methods of 2-D gel electrophoresis coupled with computer-assisted data analysis in collaboration with the Argonne National Laboratory. The developmental profile of an additional liver enzyme whose structural gene is affected by the chromosome 7 deletions is being established. Furthermore, we are investigating the inducibility of this gene by glucocorticoids and cAMP. We propose the gene symbol, hsdr-1, standing for hepatocyte specific developmental regulation, for the deleted regulatory gene sequences in chromosome 7. |
