| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Research News: I. Smoky - (preliminary symbol - smk) - Light smoke-colored mice have been found among black C57BL/ 6JY mice at "StolbovajaÓ Farm. Mutant phenotype is determined by autosomal recessive gene. Mutants are recognizable at 9-10 days after birth simultaneously with the first coat appearance. 60% smk/smk females and ~8% +/smk females are sterile due to vagina imperforation. As fluid contents and their sizes are increased significantly. The visible changes of ovaries and oviductes are not occured. The smk/smk males are fertile. The underdevelopment of genitals is inherited in both sexes.
