| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 4. Neonatal anaemia (Nan) on Chromosome 8. Neonatal anaemia (Nan) (MNL 68: 68) is on chromosome 8, closely linked to Os. Backcrosses of Nan++/+OsEso and Nan+/+Os heterozygotes to wild-type have so far yielded 1/59 crossovers between Nan and Os (R.F. 1.7 +/- 1.7%); offspring Nan+ 32, Nan Os 1, ++ 0, +Os 37. As the one crossover was OsNan+/+++, this suggests that the order of loci is as shown, with Nan between Os and Eso. However, further data are needed. (Lyon and Glenister) |
