| Primary Identifier | MGI:2156483 | Allele Type | Targeted |
| Attribute String | Null/knockout, Reporter | Gene | Bcl2l11 |
| Transmission | Germline | Strain of Origin | Not Specified |
| Is Recombinase | false | Is Wild Type | false |
| molecularNote | Insertion of a floxed PGK-neomycin resistance cassette removed the first three coding exons and placed a lacZ gene under the control of the endogenous promoter. This allele is a derivative of Bcl2l11tm1Jad in which subsequent Cre-mediated recombination in vivo removed the neo cassette in the germline. The final allele has a single loxP site in place of the three exons. Intense beta-galactosidase staining was detected in the mesenchyme of the metanephric cap of E13.5 heterozygous embryos. |
