| molecularNote | Exon 3 was disrupted by the introduction of a stop codon upstream of sequence encoding the transmembrane domain. A PGK-neo cassette was inserted just downstream of the introduced stop codon. Northern blot analysis of thymocytes and splenocytes showed a lack of protein expression in homozygous mutant mice.
