| molecularNote | This allele was generated by breeding mice carrying Ncoa2tm1Ipc with transgenic mice expressing cre recombinase via the CMV promoter. The expression of cre resulted in the excision of the floxed region containing the neo transgene and the exon encoding the nuclear receptor interaction domain. Sequence analysis showed that a frameshift mutation begining at codon 375 introduced a stop codon at position 490. Immunohistochemical staining of homozygous mutant testes showed an absence of reactivity. |
