The transgene consists of a 483 bp full-length human IL17E cDNA, the liver-specific APOE promoter, hepatic control region (HCR), and an SV40 polyadenylation site. Transgene expression was verified by Northern and Western blot analysis of liver extracts from transgenic animals.
