The rat insulin II promoter drives expression of a genomic mouse Insl3 fragment that contains nucleotides -2 to +1329. Expression of the transgenic protein is seen in the pancreas and testis. Five founders were generated that all produced identical phenotypes. Results were reported for line L4.
