While only one of 60 lethally irradiated Tg(Ins2-OV)307Wehi mice receiving a 1:4 (OT-1 mouse:C57BL/6-Thy1a congenic) bone marrow mixture became diabetic during the 10 weeks post transfer, histological evaluation of these mice at 15-21 weeks post-transfer showed mild infiltration of 22% of their islets. |
