This allele is a derivative of Bmp2^tm1Jfm in which exon 3 is deleted by Cre-mediated recombination. Mice carrying the Bmp2^tm1Jfm allele were mated to Tg(Nes-cre)1Mrt mice (J:58999) and offspring were screened for the heritable deletion. PCR analysis confirmed deletion of exon 3.
