| molecularNote | The gene was disrupted by insertion into exon 2, which encodes the DNA-binding TEA domain of the protein, of two functional cassettes: 1) a loxP-flanked Pgk-neo-poly(A) cassette, followed by 2) a cDNA encoding the beta-geo (E. coli beta-galactosidase/neomycin resistance) fusion protein flanked 5' by an internal ribosomal entry site (IRES) and 3' by a polyadenylation signal.
