Allele : Tg(tetO-Erbb2*)8-4Jek transgene insertion 8-4, Jeffrey E Kudlow

Primary Identifier  MGI:3850387 Allele Type  Transgenic
Attribute String  Constitutively active, Inducible, Inserted expressed sequence Gene  Tg(tetO-Erbb2*)8-4Jek
Strain of Origin  (C57BL/6 x SJL) Induced With  doxycycline/tetracycline
Is Recombinase  false Is Wild Type  false
molecularNote  The TetRE-ErbB2 (pTRE-Neu-SV40) transgene was designed with the tetracycline operator (tetO; also called tetracycline-responsive element (TRE, TetRE) or tet-operator) and cytomegalovirus minimal promoter, a 4.8 kb cDNA sequence from the activated form of rat c-neu/erbB2 (ErbB2; with Val to Glu mutation within the transmembrane domain at amino acid 664), and an SV40 intron/polyA sequence. This 6.8 kb transgene was microinjected into one-cell (C57BL/6 x SJL) mouse zygotes. Mice from founder line 8-4 were bred with wildtype sibling mice to establish the colony.
