| molecularNote | The TetRE-ErbB2 (pTRE-Neu-SV40) transgene was designed with the tetracycline operator (tetO; also called tetracycline-responsive element (TRE, TetRE) or tet-operator) and cytomegalovirus minimal promoter, a 4.8 kb cDNA sequence from the activated form of rat c-neu/erbB2 (ErbB2; with Val to Glu mutation within the transmembrane domain at amino acid 664), and an SV40 intron/polyA sequence. This 6.8 kb transgene was microinjected into one-cell (C57BL/6 x SJL) mouse zygotes. Mice from founder line 8-4 were bred with wildtype sibling mice to establish the colony. |
