| molecularNote | The HSA-natLSP-IL15 transgene was designed with a modified human skeletal actin (HSA or ACTA1) promoter fragment (bases -2139 to +239), murine long signal peptide (LSP) isoform interleukin-15 (Il15) cDNA, and polyA signal. This transgene was microinjected into C57BL/6 x C3H hybrid oocyte pronuclei. Founder mice were identified and bred with C57BL/6J mice to establish line 10941 (with a stable single transgene insertion point). IL-15 mRNA/protein expression in skeletal muscle is approximately 300-fold/400-fold greater in hemizygous males and approximately 100-fold/400-fold greater in hemizygous females, respectively. |
