Allele : Tg(CAG-EGFP,-GLI2*)1Aad transgene insertion 1, Andrzej A Dlugosz

Primary Identifier  MGI:4418551 Allele Type  Transgenic
Attribute String  Constitutively active, Inserted expressed sequence, Reporter Gene  Tg(CAG-EGFP,-GLI2*)1Aad
Strain of Origin  Not Specified Is Recombinase  false
Is Wild Type  false
molecularNote  The CAG promoter was used to drive expression of a construct composed of a floxed EGFP with a strong termination signal followed by a myc tagged dominant active form of GLI2 lacking the N terminal repressor domain (GLI2deltaN). In the absence of cre, EGFPis expressed and downstream GLI2 expression is prevented. Cre expression causes the excision of EGFP and its termination signal thus permitting GLI2 expression.
