A floxed neo selection cassette was place 400 bp downstream of exon 1D. The cassette was removed by cre mediated recombination. RT-PCR demonstrated that the transcripts of Fgf8a-containing spliceforms (a, c, e, and g) were missing, while Fgf8b-containing spliceforms, which utilize the remaining alternative splice acceptor of the exon 1D, are expressed. |
