| molecularNote | The construct was composed of a 5.8 kb fragment of the nestin promoter with sequences for optimized phiC31 recombinase (phiC31*; coding sequence in this construct lacks the nuclear localization signal) fused to the tamoxifen-inducible mutated estrogen receptor sequence (ERT2), followed by the 1.8 kb nestin second intron containing the neural stem/progenitor cell-specific enhancer. The SV40 polyadenylation sequence was also cloned into the vector.
