| molecularNote | The 1 kb Ednrb enhancer (from -1.2 kb to -160 bp upstream of start site) was combined with the Hspa1b (Hsp68) minimal promoter to drive expression of codon-improved cre recombinase (icre). Transgenic mice were generated by standard microinjection techniques. Founder information or line number was not available. Recombination specificity was verified by crossing this line to ROSA26-lacz reporter mice. Beta-galactosidase staining was first detected in the developing gastrointestinal (GI) tract at E11.0.
