Primary Identifier | MGI:5461708 | Allele Type | Transgenic |
Attribute String | Inducible, Recombinase | Gene | Tg(Pbsn-cre/Esr1*)14Abch |
Strain of Origin | C57BL/6NCrl | Induced With | tamoxifen |
Is Recombinase | true | Is Wild Type | false |
molecularNote | A BAC (#RP23-456A6; containing the entire mouse probasin (Pbsn) gene) was modified to insert a MerCreMer sequence (a double fusion of the cre recombinase cDNA sequence flanked on each end with a mutated murine estrogen receptor (mer) ligand-binding domain, resulting in tamoxifen-inducible cre expression) driven by the Pbsn promoter/enhancer region. The construct was microinjected into fertilized C57BL/6NCrl oocytes. Founder line 14 was established by breeding the founder, carrying 8-11 copies of the transgene, to wild-type C57BL/6J mice. |
