Allele : Tg(Pbsn-cre/Esr1*)14Abch transgene insertion 14, Andreas Birbach

Primary Identifier  MGI:5461708 Allele Type  Transgenic
Attribute String  Inducible, Recombinase Gene  Tg(Pbsn-cre/Esr1*)14Abch
Strain of Origin  C57BL/6NCrl Induced With  tamoxifen
Is Recombinase  true Is Wild Type  false
molecularNote  A BAC (#RP23-456A6; containing the entire mouse probasin (Pbsn) gene) was modified to insert a MerCreMer sequence (a double fusion of the cre recombinase cDNA sequence flanked on each end with a mutated murine estrogen receptor (mer) ligand-binding domain, resulting in tamoxifen-inducible cre expression) driven by the Pbsn promoter/enhancer region. The construct was microinjected into fertilized C57BL/6NCrl oocytes. Founder line 14 was established by breeding the founder, carrying 8-11 copies of the transgene, to wild-type C57BL/6J mice.
