| molecularNote | Cre-mediated excision of the parental Tbc1d24tm1a(EUCOMM)Hmgu allele resulted in the removal of the promoter-driven neomycin selection cassette and critical exons (exons 3-5) leaving behind the inserted lacZ reporter sequence. qRT-PCR and Western blot analysis revealed a significant (~50%) reduction of RNA and protein expression in the hippocampus of heterozygous mutant mice at P15.
