Primary Identifier | MGI:5695899 | Allele Type | Targeted |
Attribute String | Null/knockout, Reporter | Gene | Ccl27a |
Transmission | Germline | Strain of Origin | C57BL/6NTac |
Is Recombinase | false | Is Wild Type | false |
Project Collection | KOMP-Regeneron |
molecularNote | Cre-mediated excision of the parental Ccl27atm1(KOMP)Vlcg allele resulted in the removal of the neomycin selection cassette and critical exon(s) leaving behind the inserted lacZ reporter sequence. The coding sequence for the Ccl27a gene is deleted, whereas its duplicate genes Ccl27b and Ccl27al (aka Gm13306) remain intact. Immunofluorescence staining and real-time RT-PCR analyses still detected a significant level of CCL27 expression in the skin of homozygous mutant mice as a result of Ccl27b and/or Ccl27al expression. Further information on targeting strategies used for this and other IKMC alleles can be found at http://www.informatics.jax.org/mgihome/nomen/IKMC_schematics.shtml. |
