| molecularNote | A GAC to GCT codon change was inserted in exon 7 and an FRT flanked neo cassette was inserted in intron 6 via homologous recombination. The condon change results in an Asp274Ala substitution. Flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Immunoblot analysis detected the presence of the 58 kDa form but not the cleaved 50kDa form in liver lysates from homozygous mice. The mutant protein lacks protein phosphatase activity. |
