| molecularNote | This allele is derived from the Tg(CAG-lacZ,-Ptp4a2,-EGFP)11Zyz allele. Using the piZEG plasmid, a transgene construct comprising the following elements was inserted into the genome: a CAG promoter, a lacZ enzymatic reporter gene cassette with triple poly(A) signals flanked by loxP sites, the coding region from the cDNA of the murine Ptp4a2 gene, an IRES, the EGFP fluorescent reporter gene and a poly(A) signal. The lacZ cassette was subsequently removed bthrough cre-medoated recombination y crossing with the Tg(EIIa-cre)C5379Lmgd cre-expressing strain. The CAG promoter now drives the expression of the inserted Ptp4a2 gene and the EGFP reporter gene. |
