molecularNote  Five serine residues in the S2053 cluster in exon 46 (S2026, S2038, S2050, S2052, S2053) were replaced with alanines and an FRT flanked neo cassette was inserted in intron 45 via homologous recombination. Flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. These changes prevent phosphorylation at these residues in the mutant protein.
