molecularNote  CRISPR/Cas9 technology generated a 20 bp deletion (5-TCGTCCACCGCGGCTTTTTG-3) in the first exon. The sgRNA sequence used for microinjection was 5'-GAGAAGGCAAAAAGCCGCGG-3' for the first exon. The deletion causes a frameshift mutation leading to a premature termination codon after the 17th amino acid.
