The vector inserts an FRT site flanked lacZ/neomycin resistance fusion gene cassette and a loxP site into intron 1 (chr2:94117916 on build GRCm38) and a second loxP site into intron 2 (chr2:94117132). The lacZ/neo cassette was removed through subsequent flp-mediated recombination, leaving a conditional-ready allele with exon 2 floxed. |
