The transgene included anti-sense myoglobin with a heart-specific myosin heavy-chain (MHC) promoter, which targeted only heart muscle but not skeletal muscle. Lines 4 and 10 was generated. The myoglobin concentrations in heart muscle of line 4 is 0.58 the wild type (WT) Mb concentration and of line 10 0.38 of the WT Mb concentration.
