| molecularNote | A lacZ-neo cassette flanked by loxP and rox sites at the 5' and 3' ends, respectively, was inserted into the intron between exons 6a and 6b. Another rox site was inserted upstream of exon 6a and another loxP site downstream of exon 6b. Cre-mediated recombination removed exon 6b and the lacZ-neo cassette.
